How can you make money out of your site with no product, no affiliate program, no services and no idea of how to sell … by: George Slater

This was the question my copywriter asked me at one of our meetings about joint ventures on the web. What follows is the question and answers as best as I can remember them. Just to let you know he was making money 24 hours later…

Question: How do you make money out of your site with no product, no affiliate program, no services and no idea of how to sell…

Answer: Easy use Adsense.

Question: But what is Adsense.

Answer: Adsense is the other side of Google's Adwords. These are little three line text adverts that companies use to get targeted traffic to their websites.

Question: But how does it work.

Answer: Simple. Your Website is Internet real estate. The more your website is vested the more valuable the real estate. Just like a piece of real estate you can sell bits off. In this case it is the same as you putting up an advertising billboard on your property. You rent this to a company; in this case Google and they put their ads on it.

Question. OK But how do I get paid

Answer: You get paid every time somebody goes to your site and clicks on one of the ads. Simple enough. (In fact very sophisticated from a technical and marketing point of view but that is getting off the subject.)

Question. How much do I get paid?

Answer. Well here is a thing; you will probably not be able to work out exactly how much you get paid for any one ad that changes ad to ad. But after a few days of running this system you can probably work out how much you are getting per page per day.

Question. How much are you getting?

Answer. I am not allowed to tell you because I have signed a contract with Google that tells me that I am not allowed to say. However, I can tell you that to get to a stage where you get up to $1 per page per page is not impossible, but if you work on $0.30 per page per day, for a well-visited site you could be very happy.

Question. OK but $0.30 per page per day is not a lot.

Answer. No not if you only have 5 pages. But even that would cover the cost of a web site. Have a look below at the figures.

5 page web site at $0.30 per page per day

5 x 0.30 x 365 days = $547.50 per Year

10 page web site at $0.30 per page per day

10 x 0.30 x 365 = $1095.00 per Year

25 page site at $0.30 per page per day

25 x 0.30 x 365 = $2,737.50 per Year

50 page site at $0.30 per page per day

50 x 0.30 x 365 = $5,475.00 per Year

OK We are not talking retiring owning your own island and helicopter. But if you said well I think I could put up one page a day for every day of the year. Have 50 pages per web site. That’s means 7 web sites with 50 pages each and 15 day off.

365 divided by 50 = 7 and 15 over.

That would give you 7 sites at $5,475.00 per year or $38,325.00 in annual income after all the pages were finished. Now does that sound interesting. And all you have had to do is write 200 words per day. Just to let you know this article is so far 543 words.

Even if it is only half that is $19,162.50 per year. That is the repayments on an interest only loan at 5% of just under $400,000.

Question. Why not just have one big website?

Answer. It is better to build a number of columns to hold up a building. Better to diversify and survive.

Question. OK if this is so good why isn’t everybody doing it?

Answer. Many reasons, some people make more out of selling their own products, some do not know about it, some are just too purest. In the end who cares; if you quest is to make some money. There is nothing bad here. In fact there is only good.

Question. What do you mean there is only good.

Answer. Well let’s think. Somebody has got to your site because they have either searched for you on a search engine or somebody has referred them. They will only visit your site if they are interested in what you have. The ads that google put up on their billboard on your site are targeted to what your site is about. Therefore your visitors not only get to see your info but they get to see other offerings. If they are interested they click on the ad. Now look what has happened here. You have made money because somebody has paid to put an ad on your site. The user has clicked on the ad because they are interested in the subject and ad. The advertiser gets a warm lead. Google make a slice as the middleman and can continue to run their excellent service. So everybody wins. And it only costs people pennies.

Question. OK I’m sold what do I do now.

Answer. Simple go to www.google.com/pub-2050172359536955 download all the info on setting up and account, the details what specifications your site must meet. Basically, no competitive ads, not profanity, must be a reasonable site with good navigation and no to many spelling mistakes.

The just get going.

Question. Are there ways that I can maximize the adverts and make more money?

Answer. Yes there are. But that is not for this article.

Building Your Downline Wide Fast - Part 1

One of the secrets to making money with network marketing programs, or two tier affiliate programs, is to build wide fast.

Before I tell you how I do it, I want to tell you why. "How" is the mechanical, but "why" is the reason.

"Why" is your motivating factor. It's what causes you to take action.

So why is building wide fast so important?

1. It keeps you motivated.

No matter how excited you may be at starting a new program, it doesn't take long for the excitement to wear off and the doubts to creep in.

This is especially important on the Internet. Online marketers have come to expect results overnight.

Many have developed shorter attention spans. If you doubt that, look at how quickly visitors leave a slow loading web page.

That's also the reason for so many impulse buying decisions. Once we get used to the Internet, we want everything yesterday.


2. People go where people go.

That's true online or off. Once a place gets known for heavy traffic, the traffic gets even heavier.

Word spreads fast about a heavy traffic site. Some visitors will want to see what's so good that others
are flocking to get there.

Others will want to see how it's being done. They want to find out how they can duplicate it.


3. You can expand faster.

Your war chest will grow faster, which means you can roll out your marketing campaign at an accelerated
rate.

Your program begins feeding its own growth. If you take 50% of your profits and put it back into
promoting your program, it can't help but double.

Imagine that every time you launch a campaign your program doubled.

The more you make, the faster you'll grow.


4. You'll dig out your diamonds faster.

No matter what program you're promoting, only a handful of your affiliates or downline members will be active
marketers.

The more members you recruit, the odds increase that you'll dig out a few diamonds. Once you've grabbed a
few of those, there is no telling how fast you can grow.


5. Geometric Growth will kick in.

This is especially true in network marketing. The key to building a large downline and making real money is
the power of geometric progression.

Instead of growing one member at a time your growth is geometric.

2 x 2 = 4
4 x 4 = 16
16 x 16 =256

If you don't think it can happen like that, think again.

How do you think those network marketers that say they've built a downline of thousands did it?

Do you think they recruited everyone themselves?


Think again.

They jump started their downline by going wide fast,
but once they hit a certain level, geometric progression kicked in.

Geometic progression plus the help of the diamonds they recruited built their downline.

He was talking about the lever, but there are all types
of levers.

The Three Pillars Of Business Success

Internet businesses are springing up daily. Many first
time entrepreneurs are lured by the ease with which a
business can be started online and the dream of fast
riches.

The world of online business has fulfilled the dreams of

The second pillar is to evaluate your war chest.

How much money do you have to invest in your business?

Don't use money you need for maintaining your lifestyle.
Use money you won't miss.

Once you start dipping into money you need for everyday
expenses, the fear of loss will color your decisions.

Scared money never wins!

What if you don't have money you can afford to lose?

You have to spend your time.

Periodically evaluate your war chest and decide whether
to spend your money or your time.

3. Marketing Plan

The third pillar is your marketing plan. You have to
develop a systematic plan of marketing and promoting
your business.

Your marketing plan will be determined by your knowledge
and capital.

Having a system will take the guess work out of
building your business.

You won't have to agonize over every decision.

You'll be able to "pull the trigger."

Your marketing plan is your road map to success.

Build you knowledge base, evaluate your capital and
develop your marketing plan.


You've been given the "Keys." Its up to you whether or
not you use them.

Recession? Seriously?

Okay, fine. The market is having some troubles. What do you do? Do you cower in fear, doubt, and uncertainly like the masses or do you…please forgive me for the cliché; do you make lemonade from lemons?

It’s true. Right now we’re living in some pretty uncertain times financially speaking. However, there’s always opportunity. The online world is still thriving. In fact, it’s growing. The self help and home based business is booming! The investment market is actually thriving – people are anxious to learn how to invest their money, protect their money, and still live the same quality of life they’re used to.

Warren Buffet just invested 5 billion into Goldman Sachs. Of course he had 5 billion to invest in the first place but this is a guy who isn’t casual with his money. And he just invested 5 billion in what many would consider the most unstable sector in the world.

Why?

He sees an opportunity.

It’s what successful entrepreneurs do.

Successful entrepreneurs are typically risk takers. Not blind risk takers who jump into a pool of hungry sharks without looking first.

Instead, they spend a bit of time evaluating the risk and then deciding whether it’s worth jumping in. That doesn’t mean that every single light is green and it’s 100% okay to make the jump, or investment. But it means they know what they’re getting into. They understand the risks.

Along with understanding the risks, successful entrepreneurs understand, and look for, opportunity.

Think about Amazon, Paypal, and even the folks over at MySpace. They saw a potential opportunity and took some very big risks – boy did they pay off.

Despite what the mainstream media will have you believe – those opportunities are still available. The only difference between five years ago and today is the collective consciousness – if the media is telling everyone that the economy is good and invest, invest, invest – the collective buys into it and boom – everyone and their brother are taking huge risks with the comfort that the financial guru they saw on CNN the other night said it was a good thing to do – the economy is great.

Now the same financial guru is telling everyone to buckle down. Save money, don’t spend. Hold tight to your investments. Don’t take any risks.

And the collective conscious believes it. They hold tight to their money.

The result…missed opportunity.

Assuming you do your homework, analyze the market, and understand the risks – the risks are the same as it was 5 years ago. The opportunities are the same.

What is required to recognize and take advantage of these opportunities?

A good attitude is a must.

A good attitude means you’ve established the desire to be wealthy. Now that may sound very simplistic. Everyone wants to be wealthy, right? No, not really. Some people are quite content at their current income level what ever it may be.

And many of those who do desire great riches let other desires, beliefs and myths about money get in the way. Napoleon Hill outlined six steps to achieving Desire as it relates to attaining wealth. They are:

#1 Fix in your mind the exact amount of money you desire. (This is very much part of the visualization and goal setting process and is critical to success) At first you may think, “Oh okay, I want a million dollars.” Then you’ll think, “No, this is a visualization exercise, right? How about six million dollars?” Then the doubts will start to enter your mind and you may drop down to $100,000. The goal here is to let go of those limiting beliefs. If you want six million then fix that amount in your mind.

Perhaps you need to do a little bit of thinking, meditating, or even planning on how much money you want. That’s fine. Take your time. It’s important that you’re comfortable with the number you’re seeking.

#2 Determine exactly what you are willing to give in return for the money you desire. It’s the old you don’t get something for nothing philosophy. This is actually a great way to help let go of your limiting beliefs about money particularly if they relate to money being inherently bad. What would you do if you achieved the monetary goals you’ve set forth? Will you donate a specific amount to charity each year? Will you volunteer your time? Will you employ people and offer a great salary and benefits package? What are you willing to put out there?

#3 Establish a specific date for receiving or earning the money goal you’ve established. Tomorrow, right? You’d like that six million dollars tomorrow, please. Okay, now step back and consider what may be more reasonable. Not too reasonable mind you, you probably don’t want to set your goal 20 years in the future however 12 months isn’t unreasonable is it? Neither is six months, or even three.

#4 Carry out a plan to begin – Mr. Hill recommends taking action whether you are ready or not. You can’t spend your life planning, it’ll just pass you by. So how are you going to make this money? What’s going to happen or change in your life to make it happen? Are you going to write the next Harry Potter? Are you going to develop a software product or game that sells out all over the world? What skills, talents, and knowledge do you have, or you have access to, to make it happen?

#5 & #6 Create a written statement for the first four actions described above and then read it aloud twice a day. Once when you’ve just woken up and once before you go to bed.

This process as it was laid out by Napoleon Hill in 1937 and supported by wealth coaches, personal coaches, professional coaches and mentors all around the world, may seem a bit simplistic at first glance. However, upon implementing it you will see it has a very powerful effect on not only your attitude but your motivation as well.

Visualization is a technique that successful people in all walks of life utilize to improve and to achieve their desired results. It doesn’t matter if you’re a stay at home parent who aspires to build a six figure business or an Olympic athlete – visualization and establishing a desire to achieve are a necessary first step to real success and wealth.

An economic downturn matters. Of course it does. However, where there’s the desire to succeed, where there’s openness to success, wealth, and the power of opportunity, there’s a real chance to profit – desire is the first step.
